Mariana Odru joins Noé for the Man & Nature programmes to support the value chain activities as Senior Programme Coordinator.
With an agro-economist background, Mariana is involved in the development and humanitarian sector for the past 10 years. She worked for various NGOs and action-research centers in Africa, in the Middle East, in South-East Asia and in Central America.
For 3 years in Myanmar, she coordinated several rural development projects with GRET. In this context she worked to strengthen the capacities of local NGOs in family farm advisory services, financial services, and in structuring of producer groups and value chains.
More recently, Mariana led the humanitarian programmes of Action Against Hunger in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. She coordinated agricultural development, food security, nutrition, water and sanitation, and protection projects with the Syrian refugees. She was specifically involved in the operational monitoring of the programmes quality and in supporting the local teams.
